JENNY COOK ART Exhibition September 2025
'THROUGH MY LENS'
A SOLO EXHIBITION BY JENNY COOK
OPENINGÂ SEPTEMBER 20, 2025
ONLINE SALES OPEN AFTER LAUNCH
“Through My Lens” is more than an exhibition — it’s a personal invitation to see the world as I experience it: vibrant, wild, intimate, and deeply felt. You’ll find close-up animal portraits, soulful native flora and a series of African-inspired works painted after my journey with The Hunger Project last year.
Each brushstroke carries a story and I paint close because closeness is where we feel things. This collection brings together the wild energy of Africa and the gentle beauty of Phillip Island. These works are about love, courage, and finding your true voice (often with paint on our hands)."
“These works are inspired by my journey through Africa...
 — a place where the land, wildlife, and people left an unforgettable mark on my heart. Each painting captures more than a scene; it reflects the strength, beauty, and resilience I witnessed in the villages, the wildlife encounters that left me in awe, and the colours of a continent alive with stories. This collection is both a tribute to Africa and a reminder of the shared threads of humanity and nature that connect us all.”
TAU
Tau was born from the spirit of Africa that stayed with me. His steady gaze embodies strength, pride, and the pulse of the wild—but also mirrors an inner strength I discovered in myself along the journey.Â

Mini-Series: Zambia – Journeys of Hope
These six small works were inspired by my time in Zambia with The Hunger Project. Each piece captures a memory, a moment, or a feeling from that journey—encounters with people whose resilience, warmth, and joy left a lasting mark on me. While the villages we visited were facing challenges such as access to clean water and resources, what struck me most was the vibrancy of spirit, the generosity of welcome, and the deep sense of community. These paintings are not just images, but reflections of hope, connection, and the strength I witnessed in everyday life.
All Minis are 20cmx20cm - Floating Timber Frames

CHING'OMBE WELCOME
Inspired by the vibrant greeting at Ching’ombe village, this piece honours the joy, resilience, and hope of a community awaiting fresh water.

SEEDS OF CHANGE
Inspired by our visit to a newly built Hunger Project Epicentre. Seeds of Change reflects the training garden in Zambia—where new growth symbolises knowledge, hope, and the beginning of transformation.

BREAKING NEW GROUND
Breaking New Ground captures villagers in Zambia preparing gardens with bullocks—a symbol of knowledge in action and hope taking root.
Â

BROTHERS
Two brothers walk arm in arm across the red sand—a portrait of love, connection, and what truly matters most.

CRESENCIA'S TRIUMPHS
Named after an inspiring woman in Musiya Village, Cresencia celebrates her journey from hardship to leadership, embodying resilience and the power of empowerment. |

THE SOURCE - FRESH WATER
Fresh Water represents the single most transformative gift a community can receive. Fresh water is dignity, safety, and hope and can be the key that unlocks freedom from hunger and poverty.
PHILLIP ISLAND CONNECTION
Closer to home, these works are inspired by the rugged beauty and gentle moments of Phillip Island — gumleaves catching the light, pelicans gathering at San Remo, and the quiet presence of local wildlife. They are my way of honouring the landscapes and creatures that shape my daily life, offering a sense of belonging, calm, and connection to place.
